Hello Aya, Thanks for replying, yes that was indeed helpful.
I’m kind of confused about finding tasks and being verified. It seems like there isn’t much in the way of tasks for unverified translators and that the tasks mostly go to verified ones. But you need to complete a certain number of tasks to be verified. Feels like a bit of a catch-22 for anyone who is just signing up and trying to get started, especially since there is no longer a verification test. Can someone advise a newcomer?

First of all, welcome to TWB; we are glad you are here!
Secondly, please note that we are gradually moving away from the verification distinction, so the title isn’t relevant as it used to be. These days, most of the tasks are available to all volunteers, in spite of their verification level; this means, if tasks are available in your language pair(s), you should be able to find and claim them even if you are not verified.

Sorry to barge in on this conversation 
but I was wondering the same, I guess I’ll have to go check my settings because I do get tasks from English to Spanish but not from Spanish to English. And I thought it was beacuse I’m not verified on the latter pair. Warm greetings!

I was wondering whether TWB Verified Translator status is something that needs to be requested, or whether it happens automatically; I see that I now have 6 reviews with scores above the average mark mentioned.

If you consistently deliver high-quality translations on our platform, we will upgrade your level to TWB Verified Translator , based on reviews you received of your work
Our general criteria state that to become verified, translators should receive approximately 6 task reviews, with an average mark of 3.5 or above (out of 5).

And NO, there is no need to request to be verified as we usually do it ourselves from our end.

Hi! I am not getting any task reviews for those I’ve completed. Is there a way I can request that after I complete a task?
Hey @mnq.astillero , many thanks for working on the tasks, we really appreciate it! As for the reviews, unfortunately it is not mandatory for the translators to leave reviews therefore most times they do not. Any suggestions on how we can make this better are always welcome, we are always looking for ways to improve your TWB experience.
