@JoannaW how would I go on to add the introduction course certificate to my profile
thanks
Hi @soke35
Thatās great that youāve taken the course!
You can upload your certificate by going to your profile in the KatĆ³ Platform, and then clicking the button that says āupload a new file for this userā under the ācertificates and training coursesā subheading
This should let you upload your certificate
I have just realised youāre talking about the Kato profile and not about the community profile
thanks
Hi @Silvia_Mauri,
I hope you are doing well!
Actually, I have asked for a recommendation on Linkedin and our lovely @ambra made it few days ago but it has a little mistake! I joined to TWB in 2019 and she mentioned that I joined in 2010! Can @ambra kindly correct this little mistake?
Thank you so much for your kind words @ambra! I really appreciate that!
Kind regards,
Dalia
Do you provide basic volunteers with appreciation certificates?
Hi @Mariam.tn
Firstly, welcome to the TWB community
It is extremely important for us that translators feel motivated and supported, and that we express our gratitude for the work they do!
This is why we have created a General Recognition Program for KatĆ³ Translators, which you can read more about here.
I hope this information is helpful, donāt hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions
Hi @Dalia1, Iām fine thanks, I hope you are doing well too!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Our kind @ambra will be happy to edit it as soon as possible
Thanks for letting us know, Dalia Have a lovely week ahead
Hi all,
I have passed 20,000 words. May I ask for a certificate too?
Thank you in advance and have a great day!
Hi @anja_jetter
Of course, weād be happy to provide a reference letter confirming your contribution to TWB
Weāll share the reference letter with you as soon as itās ready!
Hello everyone,
I have two questions regarding revising tasks.
- Does revising count towards the donated words?
- When I receive a certificate from TWB, does it specify how many words were translated and how many were revised?
Thanks a lot
Hi @khaled89fadl,
Yes, the word count for a revising task will be added to your badge 24 hours after submitting your task. But the reference letters usually indicate the total donated words (without specifying the number of words translated or revised) and the language pairs you work with.
Thanks for reaching out! I have moved your post to this thread where we have answered lots of questions on receiving a certificate
I can also confirm what the kind @SalwaAlrifai has said, that we will confirm the total number of words donated on the certificate as well as the language pairs you work in and which NGO partners youāve supported!
Hello everyone,
I submitted two pieces of work today and I believe I will pass the threshold of 20,000 when they are added tomorrow.
May I have a reference letter and recommendation please?
Hi @khaled89fadl, thank you for your great contribution!
Iāve seen that you have still around 3,000 words to reach the threshold to be eligible for a reference letter but we are happy to be flexible - when you are a bit closer to the threshold, please let us know and weāll be happy to provide you with the letter
Thanks for your response!
But actually the last two tasks I submitted yesterday have not been added to the donated words yet. Itās more than 24 hours since I submitted them.
Once they are being added by your side Iāll reach 20,000
Thanks
