English → French / French → English Tasks Availability

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all having a peaceful weekend. I joined TWB a little over four months ago. I log in every day for several hours, read posts, respond to other people’s posts (sometimes), and look for opportunities to learn more about how I can improve my skills and be helpful. However, I still haven’t been able to claim any task. I understand that tasks are based on availability, but I’m starting to think that something might be wrong with my account. My language pairs include English to French and French to English, which I would assume are high-demand language pairs. I also noticed that when I try to use the filters by clicking on “Any Language Pair,” the drop-down menu doesn’t show my language pairs. Help me, please! Have a wonderful weekend!

Upon reviewing your profile, I’m happy to let you know that your profile looks good from our end, you have nothing to worry about concerning your TWB profile.

We are sorry to hear you haven’t had access to tasks recently. The availability of tasks can vary depending on our partners’ needs, and at times there may be fewer opportunities for certain languages. We recommend checking the homepage regularly, as new tasks can appear at any moment. If a language is not visible in the dropdown, it simply means there are no tasks available for it at that time.

Please also note that notifications are sent to multiple volunteers, and tasks are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so being quick to claim them can really help.

In the meantime, we encourage you to explore our available courses in the learning center, they’re a great way to continue building your skills while waiting for new opportunities.
