We are excited to announce another Language Week, to celebrate together the International Translation Day! From 27 September, we will dedicate one full week to our wonderful Hindi Community. This is your chance to learn more about our work, win prizes, show your translation skills, and meet our staff and like-minded linguists and meet the Hindi featured volunteer of our last blog post. Please invite your network to join - itโs a wonderful opportunity for new and existing members.
This is what we have prepared for you:
A Hindi recruitment marathon:
- Invite your friends to join TWB, and you could be the winner of a 100 USD prize! One of your friends may also receive a prize.
- Fill out this form. Be quick, we will close it as soon as we have 20 recruiters! Read the rules carefully, you can find them in the form itself.
- We will send you an email with a unique TWB registration link.
- Use the link to invite your Hindi-speaking friends, colleagues, etc to join TWB You have time until October 1st to recruit new volunteers.
A Hindi translation contest:
- The two best translators win a prize (a voucher or a phone top-up), and the 5 best translators will receive a certificate
- You can participate in the contest from Monday 20 September until Monday 4 October.
- The results are announced here

Learn how to use the TWB platform and the tools we offer. Register to the demo sessions on the TWB Platform, Memsource, and the online course, happening on Monday at 18:30 India Standard Time. -
Tuesday, 28 September:
Chinmay Rastogi, our Hindi Language Associate, presented the Hindi Style Guide, your ally for all your work in Hindi at TWB. You can find the recording here. -
Wednesday 29 September
Manuel Locria, our Quality Coordinator, presented the resources available on Memsource. Hear about Translation Memories, Terminology Bases, non-translatable Matches, and Quality Estimation at 17:30 India standard time. -
Thursday 30 September
Itโs International Translation Day Celebrate with us and hear from our Project Managers about how TWB responded to the global pandemic in the last two years. Learn how translation changed lives in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in India and beyond. You can watch the recorded session here.
