Trouble submitting task

Hello,

I have just finished a translation task, but am unable to mark it as ‘completed’. The button is grey and nothing happens when I try to click on it. I have run the QA, and resolved or ignored all of the issues, apart from those to do with ‘Tags and Formatting’ and ‘Unconfirmed Segment’. What do I need to do to mark the task as complete?

Hey Maria,

If you have unconfirmed segments, then the task is not at 100%. Confirm your segments, then you can submit it.

Happy translating,
Elena

Hello @maria.klingsheim and thank you for writing to us.

Looping the project manager for this task, my colleague, @anna.canatan for her kind assistance.

Please feel free to email them directly if you wish and they will be more than happy to assist you.

Thank you!

Hello Maria,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear that you encountered an issue with the QA.

After reviewing the task, I noticed that segments 59 and 116 are missing tags, which cannot be ignored. Once you add the tags and confirm both segments, you should be able to mark the task as complete.

I hope this helps! If the issue persists, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

All the best,
Anna Canatan

Hi there,
I have a similar problem where I cannot mark a revision as ‘complete’ and the button is gray. I tried looking for unconfirmed segments, but all were already confirmed. I think it is related to the top right bar where it says TM, TB, and MT, where TM and MT are green but TB is gray. After some searching, I saw that it was related to ‘term bases’ where you need to add terms, but when I tried to do so I got a message saying I can’t add terms because ‘this project doesn’t have a term base assigned in write mode’.

Hello Anna,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve added the tags to both segments now, but for some reason there still appears to be a “tags and formatting issue” with segment 116. Is there anything I can do to resolve this?

Best wishes,
Maria

Hello @ChungKne!

I hope you’re well and had a great weekend.

I’ve reviewed the task and found no issues related to term bases. However, during the QA step, a formatting issue was flagged. I’ve revised it and have now marked the task as complete.

Thank you for your contribution to this project!

All the best,
Anna Canatan

Hello @maria.klingsheim,

I hope you’re well and had a great weekend too!

In the source text the symbol double angle brackets («») was used but in the target text insteas of it quotation marks (“”) were used. For that reason causing a formating issue. As I mentioned before, by default, the system will flag a formatting or tag error, something that you cannot mark as ignored. It is just to pay attention to the segment.

Of course, sometimes, according to the target language typography rules, we can use a different format, like you did here for a title. If there is something as such that you would like to relay to the revisor (choice of quotation marks instead of quotation marks for example), feel free to leave a comment on the segment on Phrase.

If not, please let me know and I can mark the task as complete.

I hope this explanation helps.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

All the best,
Anna Canatan

I need help with this issue too. 1 Tags and Formatting has come up in QA and there is nothing I can do to confirm it. I also can’t understand what the objection is as none of the formatting came from me anyway. Can you please advise?
