I was born in a little town surrounded by picturesque landscapes at the foot of the Apuseni Mountains, where I spent my childhood. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Philology at the Faculty of Letters of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca; afterward, I earned a Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London (UK). After working for some time as a teacher and then as a librarian, I devoted myself entirely to my career in translations. I am currently translating non-fiction works for Litera Publishing House and I volunteer for several humanitarian and cultural organisations, including Translators Without Borders, Translating for Humanity, Distributed Proofreaders (Project Gutenberg) and LibriVox. Specialised in literature, education and science, I am constantly trying to grow professionally, keeping myself informed about the new advances in the field and brushing up my skills.
