Looking for an internship with TWB?

Hi @JoannaW. Thanks for your reply. Well, I have already done the course and uploaded the certificate to my profile. The amount of hours is fine as well, but I was wondering about the learning agreement that is mentioned in the original post:

“We don’t offer internships in translation, but you can register [here ] to become a volunteer translator for TWB and have access to our translation platforms, where you’ll find plenty of projects to translate. If you haven’t yet, please send us your CV and we will let you know about the next steps. We can sign a learning agreement with your university and when you complete your work placement, we can send you or your university a certificate stating the number of words you translated, or its equivalent in worked hours”

Do you have any information about this?

Thank you!

Hi Maria, thank you for being part of our community. You don’t have to apply for a learning agreement, it’s a module that the university provides if needed. If you simply need us to confirm your working hours, please provide a module or a contact for us to do it. I hope this helps!

Hi @ambra. Thanks for replying, So, the part that says “we can sign a learning agreement with your university…” as stated in the original post, is not a possibility?

Thank you

Hi Maria, yes it’s a possibility of course. But you or your university need to provide the module and compile your part.

Thank you @ambra I do have all the information of the module and the learning agreement the university uses in this cases. Can you provide me the email address to send all the paperwork, please?

Thank you very much, you’ve been of great help!

Good evening @charlotte1,

Hope you are doing well! :star2:

I just figured this out, and it seems so interesting, thank you @ambra  for sharing this with us.

Actually, I am interested in an internship with TWB. :innocent:
So I tried to take a look at the link above, but the website directs me to a login page. So how can I login?
Or is there any way that I can keep up-to-date with the latest opportunities?

Any help/advice will be appreciated! :cherry_blossom:

Best regards. Lilav.

Dear Ambra,
I hope everything is going well with you.
I have recently signed up as a volunteer translator at TWB community, but yet haven’t found any tasks or projects that correspond to the language pairs I mentioned throughout the registration. I’m in my fourth year at the university, studying translation and interpretation, and I wonder if there are any internship positions available right now.
I’d like to put my studies into practice and obtain additional practical experience. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @Zizik_daily :cherry_blossom:

:white_check_mark: Firstly, welcome to TWB, and thank you for your interest in supporting us! :star2:

:white_check_mark: I could see that you added three language pairs in your profile, I’d also suggest adding two more (English to Persian), and (French to Persian) since you’re a Persian native speaker. This will help you find more tasks

:white_check_mark: You can also follow these instructions to sign up to receive email notifications when tasks are available in your language pairs :email:

:white_check_mark: I believe that since you’re studying translation, claiming tasks in you language pairs will be a good opportunity to build up your translation skills, enrich your CV/resume by working with an international non-profit :woman_student: so keep an eye on the homepage to find tasks when the’re available :innocent:

:white_check_mark: You may also find it useful to check our Translator’s Toolkit to take your first steps with TWB, and to take our course “Introduction to Humanitarian Translation for the TWB Community” . To check other work and internship opportunities, kindly check this link.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to reach ou if you have any questions :white_flower:

Dear Aya,
Thank you very much for your thoughtful and informative message :heartbeat::leaves:
I’m excited to be a part of this group😇
I’ll add the language pairs you recommended earlier to the list.
Your generosity is much appreciated
Stay sound and safe.

Hope you are doing well 🧚🏼‍♀️

Thanks for sharing this.

Are there any open vacancies for internships at the moment? I’d love to work with TWB.

I looked up at the link but it requires to sign up in a different page.

Is there any way that I can keep up-to-date with the latest opportunities?

Best wishes,
