Looking for interpreters with experience working with refugees

Hello everyone!

I am looking to interview interpreters who have experience working with refugees in UK mental health settings as part of a research study.

I have chosen this research topic as I am hoping to shed light on interpreters’ perspectives and better understand both the support they receive and the difficulties they encounter in this important work.

I am looking to speak with interpreters who:

  • · Are 18+ and currently living in the UK
  • · Have at least 6 months’ experience working as an interpreter
  • · Have worked with refugee clients in UK mental health settings
  • · Are English-speaking and able to take part in an online interview via Microsoft Teams

My name is Balkes, and I am a Clinical Psychologist in training at the University of East London. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact me at u2631782@uel.ac.uk.

This study has been ethically approved by the University of East London’s Department of Psychology and Human Development.

Hello this is António Maula Cassinda speaking! I’d like to say that I’m more than willing to take part of your study, as someone who worked as and Interpreter for more than 5 years in different companies.
