Update - INEE - Arabic MS translation review
Hi @Hiba
The MS Arabic Translation Review Group has now reviewed and agreed on the terms for the domains and standards. Please go ahead and apply this final translation consistently across the MS arabic version (Translation to ARA - MS - Google Docs)
we are also compiling a list of proper names (organizations and key terms) to share with the TRG for feedback, ensuring we get the best translations for these.
We are in the final stages of wrapping up the review for all Arabic terms and plan to send a full update by late next week.

Thanks a lot for the list. This is not the ideal format for terminology sharing, as it requires too much work for our terminology officer to implement it in the platform. Additionally the file you shared is completely in Arabic with unresolved comments and notes. Can you please update with the terms for the domains and standard this file just leaving the final agreed on terms in the correct column and only using this from now on for all terminology? This will allow us to streamline the work.

Thank you, Ayman for the update.
It’d be a lot easier and take less time to update the text if the domain names, and later on the terms, were uploaded to the termbase. It’d help with accuracy too.

@INEEARA hi, I’m wondering if there are any updates on the above. We would need your validation if possible by the end of the week. If you are not available, please propose us another date, keeping in mind that after your validation we’ll have to implement the termbase in the platform and Hiba will have to check that it’s applied consistently, run a final QA check and we have do deliver the file by the end of this month.

Please remember to add all the entries that get confirmed in the Excel and make sure the polish all comments, feedback, colouring, etc. so that our officer is clear on what terms correspond to what and we can make it as effective as possible. As I mentioned earlier, I’m afraid we cannot use the list of terms you shared as it’s not clear and polished. For instance, there are three tabs and they all still contains comments and difference colours. Could either of your go through the list in the three tabs here, select the right term or terms that need to be used, check if the source term is already on the list here and if it exist, add the validated translation, if not add a new entry at the bottom and enter the corresponding translation(s).
I’m happy to jump on a call this Friday, if something is not clear, but I’m afraid we cannot work with the file you shared, as it cannot be imported in the platform and the amount of time it would take us to polish it would include additional costs.

I’m not sure; it depends on the amount of changes that need to be made based on the updated terminology.
I’d say 7-10 days just to be on the safe side.

Thanks @Hiba . Perhaps, you could already get started on the rest of the QA, an handle the “Missing terms” check once we have the TB in place, would that work on your end? So we buy ourself some time and we give a bit more time to Ayman to clean the list.
I’ll assign it to you in the meantime, and we see it from there.

Sorry for any delays on our end. It has been a collaborative effort with theTRG to ensure a high quality translation of the terms.
Pleased to share that we are meeting today to finalise the remaining terms. By tomorrow, the full list will be completed. You can find the link to the approved and discussed terms with the TRG at INEE.
Could you kindly provide us with the timeframe for delivering the MS Arabic version? This will help us plan accordingly for the TRG to meet and begin reviewing the documents.

Thank you SO much. Thanks for the great patience with all our back and forth and for following our instructions.
As for the timeframe, assuming this is complete now we should be able to upload it early next week and we’ll finalize the file as planned by Nov 30th. If this gets done sooner, you’ll have it assigned to you right away.
