I am an ATA-Certified Translator (Spanish to English) with a law degree and a significant history of translation within the legal profession. I’m skilled in all types of translation, but specialize in legal translation, literary translation, and editing (including post-translation editing and proofreading). I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (BA in Spanish Language and Literature; Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies), a member of the American Literary Translators Association (ALTA), and an inactive member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

I also enjoy translating Latin American poetry and short fiction (specifically by Peruvian and other South American female authors) as a hobby.

My long-term goal is to return to Peru to complete a Master’s in Amazonian Studies and ultimately work with indigenous communities in the Amazon rainforest on issues like deforestation, sustainability, and conservation of natural resources.
