About myself and my story; I was born and grew up in Barcelona, where at the age of 15, I already felt a huge enthusiasm for languages. I went to London on a study trip (of course, that was not my only trip) and in a short time I realized that a language is not just based on the way of speaking, a great culture is also part of it.
I finished my Administration studies without neglecting my passion for languages. I continued studying English, meanwhile I made my first steps making short translations. At the age of 22 I was initiated with the Italian language.
More than 20 years ago, I started a new life in Torrevieja, Alicante. In this city I could make one of my dreams come true, I could study to be a translator and I started making a few translations for my friends, but little by little I realized how gratifying it is for me to be able to help people being communicated and how I enjoy myself the wonderful art of translation, not forgetting that each translation allows me to learn something new and that enriches me.
I am also an animal lover and whenever I can, I help the Animal Shelter in my town as a volunteer.
About my professional career; I am actually a freelance translator. I have a degree in English from Cambridge University and I successfully completed the Literary Translation course given by Cálamo & Cran S.L.
I have translated general documents, instruction books, certificates and articles for websites and worked at a hospital combining medical translation with administrative tasks for 18 years, so I could say my best expertise areas are websites matters, apps and medical:
