As a passionate and dedicated person, I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry of Atmospheric Pollution and Environmental Physics from the University of Paris VII, written and defended in French, my native language. For many years, English has been my working language and I handle it quite proficiently.

I now live in Mexico for ten years and also master Spanish. I work part-time as a scuba instructor to a very high technical level and teach in three languages (French, English, and Spanish).

Environmental and social concerns have been a great part of my life and my two careers (as a chemist and as a scuba instructor). I have spent the last ten years teaching and sharing my knowledge in Scuba diving but also Environmental concerns as well as social issues in a country where tourists can sometimes be fooled by extravagance of a very popular destination and ignore the true culture.

Still a beginner in translation, I am about to finish a Master’s degree in translation and I truly believe that translation for Translators without borders is the perfect fit for my knowledge, my qualifications, and my passions.

Looking forward, to getting started with the team,
Regards,
Géraldine
