I have always had a passion for languages and leraning about different cultures. I LOVE what I do what I LOVE. I don’t see translation solely as my profession - I feel it as a calling.
I am a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil. I am postgraduated in English Translation at Estácio de Sá University, graduated in Portuguese and English Letters at Castelo Branco Integrated Faculties - FICAB (Colatina - Espírito Santo), Certified Audio Describer for cultural, entertainment, art, and educational areas - POD Educacional, Audio Description Worldwide Consortium and Cinema Cego (UnB), Cerfified PRO Network (PROZ) Translator from English to Brazilian Portuguese and ABRATES member.
Before being a professional translator, over 15 years, I played the most important role in society by dedicating myself in the best way my educational background to be a kind of knowledge mediator and cooperated not just to the student’s learning process but also for their development as citizens.
Since 2019, I have audio described static and dynamic images, in Portuguese (Brazil) to improve accessibility for users who have impaired vision.
I took a basic Spanish course only one year and I am currently studying Italian (I have a huge passion for the Laura Pausini and Eros Ramazzotti’s songs). I study like a manic for assignments, so yes, one could say I’m a nerd. Grateful, guided and blessed. Favorite expression: “Thank you, Universe”.
My main interest at the moment is to consolidate myself as a professional translator and audio describer, offering a fair and sharp work hand.
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to be an upright and fraternal person having - a good character and helping people around me.
Feel free to ask for more information on how we can work together. So, thank you for your attention and I look forward to hearing from you.
Always available to help clients and colleagues with anything need!
I can continue doing that because this role gives me pride, freedom and achievement.
Kind regards,
Aline Amorim
