Today (September 6, 2021) is the 1st day of the 13th month of Ethiopian Calendar. It is called Pagume. It has got 5 days which become 6 in leap years. We are also in 2013. The month that comes after Pagume ends is called Meskerem. Meskerem 1 is the 1st day of the New Year 2014. The way we count time in Ethiopia is different. Every morning, what is referred to as 7 a.m. is 1 O’clock in Ethiopia. The day ends at 12 Oclock which the rest of the world considers as 6 p.m.
