Refugees storytelling translation project

 Pro-bono translation project
:speech_balloon: translation from Arabic, Persian, and Pashto into English
:bust_in_silhouette: Kilian Idsinga, a graphic/editorial designer and photographer who collected the story of some refugees

This is not a TWB project, we are just helping Kilian spreading the word because we think he is working on something meaningful.

Last summer, Kilian volunteered with a Dutch NGO on Lesvos and worked in two refugee camps. He asked refugees to talk about what was important to them and write down why. What makes them happy or sad, what brings good or bad memories.

Kilian is an independent publisher, and has his own online magazine, Let’s Explore Magazine. He would like to have the refugees’ stories and thoughts translated into English from Arabic, Persian and Pashto, to show their daily lives, through their eyes, and share what they want us to see. These stories are very short and you can translate them at your own pace. If you would like to get involved, please email Kilian at

Hi! What is the Arabic dialect used?

Hi Mina, how are you? Thanks for your question. I am afraid I don’t know the answer because this is not a TWB project, could you please email Kilian at and ask her?
