The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is looking for interpreters in several languages (especially Pastho, Amharic, Sinhala or Kurdish-Sorani at the moment).
ICRC interpreters carry out translation tasks during visits to detainees, reuniting of families separated by the conflict 
, organizing emergency relief aid and talking to combatants about their responsibilities under the Geneva conventions. They also contribute to explaining and raising awareness of the ICRC’s mandate among various audiences 
.
This organization works solely in countries affected by war and they only hire paid professionals 
. For neutrality purposes, ICRC does not assign personnel to a country of which they are (ex) nationals.
